This is a list of the stations of the MTR, the metro system in Hong Kong, sorted according to their service lines. After the merger with the Kowloon–Canton Railway on 2 December 2007, the operation of the East Rail Line, West Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line and the Light Rail system was transferred to the MTR Corporation. The addition of the three lines expands the metro system to encompass 10 heavy rail lines and 84 stations.[1] Serving exclusively in northwestern New Territories, the light rail network comprises 12 routes, serving 68 stops. The network is being expanded and several new lines are being proposed or under construction.

After completion of the Kowloon Southern Link extension of the West Rail Line on 16 August 2009, East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, previously an exclusive East Rail Line station, instead serves the West Rail Line.
Mong Kok East Station and Mong Kok Station ( Tsuen Wan Line and Kwun Tong Line), are not interconnected stations. There is pedestrian transfer by a footbridge, the journey time is approx. 10-15 minutes on foot.
Fo Tan and Racecourse are parallel stations. Racecourse Station is only open when horseracing or a special event is held at Sha Tin Racecourse.
Kwu Tung, Chau Tau and Lok Ma Chau are stations on the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line, a branch from Sheung Shui Station of the East Rail Line, with solely the latter constructed.
Yau Ma Tei Station is an unannounced interchange station. Changing trains in this station lacks the convenience of cross-platform interchange in Mong Kok station. The platforms for the Kwun Tong Line and Tsuen Wan Line in Yau Ma Tei station are on separate levels.
Mong Kok Station is not a transfer station to the Mong Kok East Station of the East Rail Line, but the two stations are connected with a footbridge that takes 10-15 minutes.
Tsuen Wan Station is not a transfer station to the Tsuen Wan West Station of West Rail Line, but green minibus route 95K (free transfer with an immediate West Rail journey record on the Octopus card) connects the two stations. It normally takes 15-20 minutes to go to Tsuen Wan West Station on foot.
Austin Station is a new station on the Kowloon Southern Link. It is an extension of the West Rail Line designed to link up to the East Rail Line at Hung Hom Station. Upon completion of the link, the East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, currently serving only the East Rail Line, will only serve the West Rail Line.
Tsuen Wan West Station of the West Rail Line and Tsuen Wan Station of Tsuen Wan Line are not physically linked. However, green minibus route 95K is provided between the two stations (free transfer with an immediate West Rail Line journey record on the Octopus card). Journey time is 15-20 minutes Tsuen Wan Station on foot.
Plans intend to expand Kam Sheung Road Station in the future, to act as an interchange station between the West Rail main line and the Northern Link extension. For the time being, Kam Sheung Road is a plain through-station without any interchange facilities.
